Sardinia Memory Project” is a Teatro Actores Alidos’ project approved by the Autonomous Region of Sardinia which promotes the internationalization of Sardinian cultural and creative goods in foreign markets.
This project celebrates the memory of Sardinian identity under many aspects: music, songs, dances, traditions, myths and legends.
The aim of the SMP is to spread out the knowledge about the traditions and the cultural heritage of Sardinia, building artistic relationships and a cultural bridge between Sardinia, China and Japan.
To do this SMP is mainly based on two aspects:
1) THE ASIAN TOURNÉE
In October 2018 Teatro Actores Alidos will be on tour in these Asian cities: Tokyo, Osaka, Beijing and Hong Kong.
On this occasion the "Sardinia Memory Day" will be presented.
SMD is a day dedicated to the Sardinian cultural heritage that includes the World Music "Galanìas" (that means beauties, preciousness) enriched by some theatrical actions inspired to the show "Paristoria" (that means legendary tale) as well as conferences, demonstrations with ethnic instruments, projections of images and videos about the beauties of our island (nature, architecture, archaeology, handicrafts, typical products etc.) in order to give visibility and promote the productivity of Sardinian companies.
2) INCOMING MISSION
The incoming mission is an immersive tour inside Sardinian traditions.
It is addressed to Chinese and Japanese cultural/touristic operators interested to deepen Sardinian culture and to build future relationships with Sardinia.
The mission will take place from the 25th of August to the 2nd of September and the operators will participate to some of the most representative and suggestive events in Sardinia (such as the Feast of the Redeemer in Nuoro, the Craft Fair in Mogoro, the Barefoot’s Running in Cabras, the handcraft and carpets exhibition "Tessingiu” in Samugheo).
Moreover there will be entertainment moments, visits to museums, meetings with local artists and producers (for more details and to take part to the mission please take a look to the dedicated section).
